BISON
Bison are on of the most common animals in the grasslands.At one time bison were spread from Alaska to Northern Mexico.Bison historically occurred throughout the grasslands and open savannas in North America.Bison are huge animals,ranging from3.6 m to 3.8 min males to 2.13 to 3.18 in females.They are also tall animals,with the height of the shoulder ranging from 1.67 to 1.86 for males and 1.52 to 1.57 for females.

PRAIRIE CHICKEN
Prairie chickens are also one of the most common animals in the
grassland. A prairie chickens scientific name is Tympanums Cupid.The greater prairie chicken has a body size of 16-18 inches.They generally weigh 2-3 pounds.Prairie chickens are well adapted to the snow they dig in it around 10 inches deep.The female prairie chicken lays a batch of 5-15 eggs the chicks are capable of feeding them by themselves right after birth.The mama waits until they hatch then she leaves the nest.It takes the chicks around 8 weeks to become fully independent.

Coyote
Along with many of others, coyotes are one of the most common animals in the grassland biome.Coyotes are omnivores, so that means they will try to eat about anything. Coyotes life span is that they live between 10-14 years.Some Coyotes are known to live much longer,as many as 20 years.
